About the Role#
We're looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to build and scale the core systems that power DevZero's Kubernetes optimization platform. You'll work on distributed systems, data pipelines, and optimization algorithms that help our customers save millions.
What You'll Do#
- Design and implement backend services in Go
- Build data pipelines for processing Kubernetes metrics at scale
- Develop optimization algorithms for resource rightsizing and bin packing
- Work with Kubernetes APIs, operators, and custom controllers
- Ensure high availability and reliability of our platform
- Collaborate with ML engineers on predictive scaling models
What We're Looking For#
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience
- Strong proficiency in Go
- Deep experience with Kubernetes internals and APIs
- Experience building distributed systems and data pipelines
- Familiarity with cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Understanding of database systems (PostgreSQL, TimescaleDB)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Nice to Have#
- Experience with CRIU (Checkpoint/Restore in Userspace)
- Knowledge of GPU computing and NVIDIA DCGM
- Experience with gRPC and Protocol Buffers
- Background in infrastructure cost optimization or FinOps
